About Zahra
Zahra Alani is a broadcast meteorologist with CTV and CBC. She is a member of the Canadian meteorological and oceanographic society, the American Meteorological Society, and the only Canadian board member of the AMS’s climate Services Committee. Zahra has been part of the news team that was a recipient of the Edward R. Murrow award for overall excellence in news globally. Aside from her work as a meteorologist, Zahra is a climate change activist and has recruited and mentored over 60 volunteers, presented workshops, designed and implemented learning modules to support business objectives, and have educated volunteers on important initiatives. Zahra is also a well established foodie and co-hosts a podcast called “Food, Glorious Food” on CKNW. |
